Line Cook / Prep Cook
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our team. As a Line Cook/Prep Cook, you will be responsible for assisting in meal preparation and ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen. Responsibilities:
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and gathering spices
- Assist in cooking and plating dishes according to recipes and standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
- Follow food safety guidelines and ensure proper handling and storage of ingredients
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure efficient workflow and timely preparation of meals
- Assist in inventory management, including monitoring stock levels and reporting any shortages or discrepancies
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Line Cook/Prep Cook or similar role in a restaurant or food service setting
- Strong knowledge of food handling, preparation techniques, and kitchen equipment operation
- Familiarity with various cooking methods and techniques
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
